100 km in the desert, self-sufficient in food over 3 days. Maude decided to run the Marathon des Sables in memory of Julien, her friend who died almost two years ago from neuromalaria contracted during a trip to Africa. Maude also worked in Africa for over 20 years with micro-entrepreneurs. So supporting the Maison de l’Artemisia made perfect sense to her. “I’ve seen a lot of people suffer from malaria and I’ve also lost colleagues to the disease. Julien was a man who loved life, and his death two years ago shocked me and taught me to make the most of every day”.
Maude has succeeded in her crazy gamble, she has reached the end of her race.
And in the meantime, a solidarity fund is still running throughout October. If you can, don’t hesitate to support this project to help more people be cured of malaria. Many thanks to everyone.
